Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer (AWS Serverless) to design, develop, and maintain full-stack software applications and services built on AWS cloud. This role requires strong hands-on experience in both front-end and back-end development, focusing on serverless architecture, microservices, and cloud-native design. The engineer will work closely with product teams, architects, and DevOps engineers to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing business applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain AWS-native serverless applications and microservices using Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, Amplify, and AppSync/GraphQL.
  • Build and optimize RESTful and GraphQL APIs to support enterprise-scale systems and integrations.
  • Develop modern and responsive front-end applications using React or similar frameworks (Angular, Vue).
  • Write clean, reusable, and efficient code while following best practices and design standards.
  • Lead design and architecture discussions to define system and data flows across applications.
  • Implement Test-Driven Development (TDD) and maintain automated unit and integration tests.
  • Work with DevOps teams to ensure CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure deployments using CloudFormation or Terraform.
  • Ensure application security, authentication, and authorization using AWS Cognito and other standard methods.
  • Mentor junior developers and participate in peer code reviews.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues using CloudWatch and logging frameworks.
  • Collaborate with business and product teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and drive full-stack engineering best practices across teams.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • 10+ years of overall software engineering experience.
  • 5+ years of experience developing applications on AWS using serverless technologies such as Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and S3.
  • Strong programming experience with Node.js, Python, or TypeScript.
  • Hands-on experience in front-end frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful and GraphQL APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and data modeling techniques.
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline) and Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform).
  • Proficient in implementing security standards and compliance best practices (HIPAA, PII).
  • Experience in performance monitoring, logging, and observability in AWS environments.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with AWS AppSync, EventBridge, or Step Functions.
  • Familiarity with healthcare or insurance domains.
  • Prior experience as a team or technical lead.
