Description:

Required Consultant must demonstrate:

  16. Proficiency with the knowledge and use of enterprise web environments and tools.
  17. Proficiency with the knowledge and use of software monitoring, debugging and trace facilities.

Preferred Consultant Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

8 years experience.

  1. Expert experience with Solaris Operating System Administration; to include Zones, UFS, and ZFS.
  2. Expert experience with Linux Operating System Administration, both OEL and Red Hat.
  3. Strong experience administering Volume Managers and Backup/Recovery software.
  4. Strong working knowledge of Exadata, Oracle Database Appliances, Oracle Private Cloud Appliances, Oracle Exa and Compute Cloud-at-Customer systems.
  5. Solaris/Linux shell scripting (.ksh, .sh, .csh) experience to include experience with Ansible preferred.
  6. Networker and bare-metal system recovery experience.
  7. Strong experience in patching, maintaining Linux Repos, system security, networking, logging, Linux firewall administration, and firewall procedures.
  8. Ability and willingness to mentor junior and journeymen UNIX administrators
  9. Experience administering virtual environments to include VMware and OVM based virtual machines.
  10. Experience administering, patching and supporting cloud environments to include Oracle OCI and AWS.
  11. Knowledge of multiple operating systems, including Solaris and Linux (Centos, Red Hat and OEL).
  12. Experience installing and configuring operating systems and application software.
  13. Knowledge of F5 management and services.
  14. Knowledge of Backup and Recovery software (Networker, Rubric & CommVault) and procedures.
  15. Knowledge of LogicMonitor monitoring software.
  16. Knowledge of web application support (Apache, Nginx, PHP, Perl, Java, RubyRails), content managers, and MySQL.
  17. Experience with hardware repair and service maintenance.
  18. Experience debugging software and hardware issues.
  19. Knowledge of government project and process management concepts.
