Job Description:
- The High-Speed IO Signal Integrity Engineer is responsible for ensuring the electrical performance and compliance of high-speed IO interfaces across product development.
- The role involves signal integrity testing, compliance certification, design collaboration, data analysis, and development of automation to improve testing efficiency.
- Perform detailed electrical signal integrity testing on high-speed IO interfaces.
- Debug and optimize product performance to resolve signal integrity issues.
- Conduct IO compliance certification testing to ensure adherence to industry standards (e.g., PCIe, USB, DP, HDMI, MIPI).
- Collaborate with design engineers to review circuit designs and PCB layouts, providing feedback to enhance signal integrity and compliance.
- Analyze test results, identify areas of concern, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Develop and implement comprehensive test plans for high-speed IO interfaces.
- Create automation solutions to improve testing efficiency and reduce costs.
- Document test procedures, results, discrepancies, and project status.
- Interface with standards organizations to stay current on industry requirements and update testing procedures accordingly.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including hardware, PHY, board design, and customer engineering throughout the product lifecycle.
- Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Strong background in IC technology and computer architecture.
- Experience with high-speed IO signal integrity testing and compliance in hardware engineering.
- Knowledge of IO interfaces such as PCIe, USB, DP, HDMI, MIPI, etc.
- Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages for test automation.
- Hands-on experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
- Familiarity with schematics, PCB layout, hardware system setup, and Windows/Linux environments.
