job summary:

We are seeking a skilled and driven Digital Manufacturing Systems Engineer to lead the execution of a digital strategy at a new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. This role will focus on the deployment, adoption, and evolution of digital solutions in close collaboration with Manufacturing, IT, Quality, Engineering, and external partners. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise, project leadership skills, and hands-on experience with industrial automation systems.

responsibilities:


  • Lead the implementation and support of digital manufacturing solutions aimed at equipment digitalization and operational excellence.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed technical deployment plan for digital manufacturing processes.
  • Coordinate delivery and adoption efforts in alignment with global/local IT, Central Engineering, Quality, and external vendors to ensure operational readiness.
  • Drive the development and enhancement of digital features and capabilities for manufacturing equipment.
  • Ensure digital standards are implemented in alignment with Global Operations Standards.
  • Provide specialized technical support to internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Support system troubleshooting, validation, and post-implementation optimization.


qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automation & Robotics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Strong experience in digital manufacturing and industrial automation (5-8 years preferred).
  • Expertise in programming languages such as C++, C#, Java, Python.
  • Experience with OPC UA, PLC programming (Rockwell Studio 5000 Logix Designer), and Allen-Bradley systems.
  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure layers and IoT integration in manufacturing environments.
  • Hands-on experience with computerized system validation and industrial automation systems.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and excellent communication abilities.

  • Experience with Rockwell Automation and product testing environments.
  • Practical troubleshooting capabilities for digital control systems.
  • Familiarity with factory digitalization initiatives and deployment at greenfield manufacturing sites.
