Job Details

Position Summary

Responsible for providing applications engineering support for industrial equipment customers. Specifically, with the selection, design and development of sealing products and materials for customers that build construction and agricultural equipment, heavy trucks, diesel engines and vehicle electrification. Assist the account manager with all aspects of providing a premier customer experience including managing projects, resolving quality/technical concerns, marketing activities and creating proposals. Position responsible for driving the strategic growth segments of the Engineered Materials Group through innovative product development and exploring adjacent market opportunities. Must effectively interface with all Division departments and Division staff. Works with minimal daily supervision but keeps team leaders and staff informed of project status.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Large OEM applications engineering support including communication, pricing, quality reports, and design. Conduct market research through trade associations, internet investigation and corporate services.
  • Assist territory and regional manager in adapting current and new products to customer need and satisfaction.
  • Provide technical expertise on product to close on final sale.
  • Assist design and manufacturing in the development of new and/or revised product according to customer requirements.
  • Provide timely reports summarizing findings on a given product, project or territory.
    Provide technical training of customers and distributors in division products.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of competitive products and their activity in the marketplace and provide reports, on a regular and/or monthly basis.
  • Development of customer communication programs and special marketing plans.
  • Develop and initiate product sales plans relating to pricing, life cycle and forecasting.
  • Develop strategic sales plans for existing and adjacent market for existing and new innovative products.
  • Investigate market needs for innovative products and communicate them to Engineering for product development.
  • Must maintain highest degree of customer service, throughput, and quality and participate in division lean activities.

The salary range for this position is: \$67,771 - \$113,077 USD. Parker offers competitive benefit programs, including:

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, with 0 to 2+ years sales, manufacturing or engineering experience preferably, within a manufacturing organization. Part time or co-op/internship experience for new graduates is acceptable.
  • PC literate (MS Office suite)
  • Excellent mechanical comprehension with the ability to understand, describe or discuss problems of a technical nature.
  • Technical competence with mechanical systems and material science demonstrated through work experience and/or education.
