Business Data Analyst

Role Summary:

The Business Data Analyst will serve as a vital link between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business requirements into actionable data insights and solutions. This role is instrumental in ensuring that analytics initiatives on the new data platform deliver measurable value, alignment, and clarity to business objectives within the healthcare and life sciences domain.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for data, analytics, and reporting solutions.

• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define KPIs, metrics, and data sources.

• Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications for Snowflake, DBT, Power BI, and SQL Server implementations.

• Support data modeling, data validation, and quality assurance efforts in partnership with data engineering and BI teams.

• Conduct gap analysis and propose data-driven recommendations to address business challenges.

• Participate in and facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and sprint reviews.

• Create and manage user stories, acceptance criteria, and data-related feature documentation.

• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure deliverables meet business expectations and requirements.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 8 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst on data and analytics-focused projects.

• Salesforce and Healthcare / Pharmaceutical domain experience required.

• Proficiency with modern data tools and platforms, including Snowflake, Power BI, DBT, and SQL Server.

• Strong experience working within Agile/Scrum frameworks and using tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.

• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with proven stakeholder management expertise.

• Ability to produce clear, concise documentation, process flows, and user stories.

• Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and compliance best practices.
