Duties & Responsibilities:
- Paid Johnson Controls Metasys training and certification provided.
- Operations and Maintenance support to the Energy Control staff by responding to calls of a controls related nature and performing PM, testing, calibration and other work associated with operation of MEDVAMC BSM controls and related BSE controlled by these systems.
- Any required preventive maintenance to the energy management systems and components and related BSE controlled by BMS systems to include testing of control and controlled components, replacement of bad components, including valves, dampers, and their respective controllers for both electric and pneumatic systems.
- Repairs to HVAC energy management systems and components and related BSE utilizing HVAC energy management DDC systems to evaluate equipment performance for operational issues.
- Reporting for each work order request and corrective action.
- Investigate Metasys systems and the applicability of each of these programs on a system-by-system basis.
- Complete training in automation controls and HVAC.
- Complete HVAC Preventative Maintenance and repairs in various parts of the country as needed.
- Minimal Assistance With:
- Tune-up, calibration, and maintenance to include an analysis of the Chiller plant control system, HVAC Control system, as well as applicable building control technologies related to MEDVAMC BSE.
- Update and correct deficiencies within the existing BMS system and BSE, increase the energy efficiency of the facility through maintenance of the BMS and BMS to provide options and alternatives that may improve the overall BMS (equipment calibration, system modifications, etc.) during the process.
- Recommendations to MEDVAMC on energy savings opportunities.
- Development and programming of HVAC and energy optimization strategies.
- Technical review sessions to MEDVAMC operational and engineering personnel and contract personnel on HVAC system programming as it pertains to MEDVAMC s equipment.
- HVAC energy management reports that are available within the Metasys systems to the customer monthly.

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 8+ years of experience in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing or Controls Field..
- 30-Hour OSHA Certification.
- Valid driver's license.
- Metasys factory training preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- May have to spend prolonged outside exposed to inclement weather and/or temperatures.
- Must have the ability to use hand tools, lift/carry 50 lbs., and to work on ladders/step stools.
Special Notes/Instructions
The New Hire will undergo orientation during the 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. shift before moving to the 3:30 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. shift.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Development of junior technicians in chiller and HVAC maintenance and repair.
Travel:
- 50 - 75%- Travel Required (Continental US)
- Travel expenses (airfare, lodging, meals, etc.) will be covered by Client.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Act as Chiller Technician performing routine, and unscheduled, maintenance and repair of industrial mechanical systems including air cooled chillers, centrifugal chillers, pumps, cooling towers, air handler units, valves, fan coil units, variable air volume systems, etc.
- Diagnose and repair of machine and equipment defects including electronic, mechanical, and electrical components related to these systems. Also includes diverse service issues, obtain any replacement parts, calibrate system to manufacturer s recommendations, and explain fully to customer what the issue is and what is needed to correct.
- Oversee installation and operation of various mechanical systems.
- Assist in defining and developing the training, materials, and tools needed to support our chiller/HVAC maintenance business.
- Maintain good working order of company vehicle including refueling as necessary, reporting any mechanical issues. Vehicles should be washed on a regular basis. Proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment shall always be maintained in the vehicle.
- Maintain all relevant documentation related to all services and tasks performed, including make, model, serial number, necessary test measurements, and pictures, as necessary.
- Provide detailed, complete, and timely paperwork as required.
- Identify and report to supervisor/manager potential business, including site visits, conference calls with subcontractors and cost estimation.
- Additional tasks as required, may include but are limited to:
- Scheduling and coordinating services with the customer and vendors/subcontractors.
- Provide updates to communicate to dispatch, parts procurement, supervisors, and managers, as needed, to keep company and customers informed about work progressions
- Willingness and ability to complete professional and technical training.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Experience and or Certification in York Centrifugal and Air-Cooled Chillers preferred.
- 3 years of experience on 1,000 - 2,000 ton units preferred.
- Must possess personal tools, or have the ability to purchase those tools upon hire.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 10+ years of experience in chiller/HVAC maintenance, mechanical engineering, or other related fields.
- 30-Hour OSHA Certification.
- Valid driver's license.
