Job Title: Technical Program Manager Cloud Migrations

Location: Frisco, TX
Job Type: Contract

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and technically proficient Program Manager to lead and coordinate the onboarding of enterprise applications to public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform). In this role, you will work cross-functionally with engineering, infrastructure, security, and business teams to ensure successful and secure migrations and onboarding of applications into the cloud. Your leadership will help drive cloud adoption, streamline onboarding processes, and ensure compliance with organizational and industry standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Management:
    • Lead end-to-end program execution for onboarding workloads and applications to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
    • Develop project plans, define milestones, and manage delivery timelines across multiple stakeholders and technical teams.
    • Track progress and resolve blockers to ensure timely onboarding.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Collaborate with application owners, cloud architects, infrastructure, and security teams to assess onboarding requirements.
    • Serve as a single point of contact between business units and cloud enablement teams.
    • Communicate program status, risks, and issues clearly and effectively to leadership.
  • Technical Oversight:
    • Understand cloud-native services and infrastructure components to support informed decision-making.
    • Assist in evaluating application readiness for cloud migration (e.g., dependency mapping, technical debt, modernization opportunities).
    • Ensure onboarding aligns with cloud governance, security, and cost management frameworks.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Standardize and streamline onboarding workflows, templates, and reporting mechanisms.
    • Define KPIs and metrics to measure onboarding success and cloud adoption maturity.
    • Drive continuous improvement in application migration and onboarding practices.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in program or project management within cloud environments.
  • Proven experience in application migration or onboarding to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Strong understanding of cloud fundamentals, IaaS/PaaS services, networking, and security best practices.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, or equivalent PM tools.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, Google Cloud Associate Engineer).
  • Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., healthcare, finance, or government).
  • Agile/Scrum experience or certification (e.g., PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM).
  • Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD tools and practices
