Position: Licensed School Psychologist Sensory Impairment Support
Location: Nashville, TN , 37214
Duration: Long-term contract
Job Summary:
We re seeking a licensed School Psychologist with expertise in supporting students with visual impairments. This role involves assessments, counseling, IEP support, and collaboration with educators and families to promote academic, emotional, and behavioral success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments for students with visual impairments
- Participating in IEP meetings and support development plans
- Provide individual/group counseling
- Consult with teachers, parents, and specialists
- Develop behavior plans and intervention strategies
- Stay updated on best practices in school psychology and visual impairment
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records
- Collaborate with school staff for a holistic student approach
- Assist with referrals and staff development as needed
Requirements:
- Master s degree in School Psychology (required)
- Active School Services Personnel License (required)
- Experience with visually impaired students (preferred)
Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong assessment, counseling, and crisis intervention skills
- Knowledge of developmental psychology, mental health, and IEPs
- Ability to work with diverse backgrounds and multidisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with assistive tech and SEL practices
Additional Information:
- Must pass background checks (TBI/FBI)
