We are seeking a highly motivated Data Analyst to support our growing Data Governance program within the bank. This role will contribute to building high-quality, trusted data by performing lineage harvesting, partnering with business and technology teams, and supporting data governance policy compliance. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, experience in financial services, and the ability to work both independently and collaborate across diverse stakeholder groups.
Responsibilities
- Perform data lineage work, including discovery, documentation, and harvesting across enterprise systems.
- Partner with end users, data stewards, and technology teams to provide advisory support within the Collibra platform.
- Assist in establishing and maintaining compliance with data governance policies, standards, and controls.
- Work independently and collaboratively with peers and management to support data quality, data management, and governance objectives.
- Provide ad-hoc technical analysis, reporting, and recommendations to support management strategies and decision-making.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of data processes, documentation, and metadata quality.
Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in a data-focused role (data analysis, data management, data governance, reporting, or similar).
- Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with Excel and experience querying databases (SQL).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts for business partners.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Collibra, data lineage tools, or metadata management platforms preferred.
- Python experience is a plus.
- Previous banking or financial services experience and understanding of financial reporting preferred.
- Working knowledge of data governance, data related risks and controls, and risk management principles.
- Understanding of financial products (e.g., deposits, loans, securities, etc.)
