A Windchill Developer is responsible for designing, developing, customizing, and implementing Windchill PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) software solutions to meet business requirements. This role involves working throughout the full development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, design, coding (mainly in Java), testing, deployment, and support, while ensuring performance, quality, and integration with other enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, customize, and implement Windchill PLM solutions using Java, JSP, Windchill APIs, and Info*Engine.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements and integrate Windchill with other systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, perform performance tuning, and ensure system compliance with coding standards.
  • Maintain and document technical designs, conduct code reviews, and keep technical documentation updated.
  • Support end users and provide training on Windchill functionality and best practices.
  • Conduct upgrades, maintenance, and system testing of Windchill PLM applications.
  • Experience with Java, JSP, XML, SQL, and database management (Oracle, SQL Server).
  • Experience with Windchill APIs, Rest Services, and Info*Engine tasks.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, DevOps practices, version control tools like Git or SVN.
  • Experience with Windchill modules such as PDMLink, ProjectLink, MPMLink, and integration knowledge with ERP or CAD systems is a plus.
  • Good problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
