Position: Database Application Developer
Location: Alpharetta GA (Hybrid)
Role Summary
We're seeking a seasoned Database Application Developer with deep expertise in data engineering, pipeline development, and data infrastructure management. In this role, you will help build scalable data solutions leveraging client, partner, and third-party datasets to support advanced analytics, reporting, and data product innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes using SSIS, Python, and API integrations
- Architect and enhance infrastructure to support data ingestion, transformation, and integration
- Collaborate cross-functionally with technical and business teams to gather data requirements and deliver solutions
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance across large, complex datasets
- Conduct root cause analysis and resolve data-related issues quickly and efficiently
- Apply data modeling best practices across OLTP and OLAP environments
- Develop detailed documentation, technical specifications, and lineage tracking for all solutions
- Perform code reviews, monitor deployments, and continuously improve pipeline performance
- Participate in the development and deployment of data collection systems and offer training support
- Stay engaged with industry trends in AI/ML, data governance, anonymization, and digital transformation
- Integrate and optimize BI technologies including Tableau and Power BI
- Partner with stakeholders on data strategy, governance, and analytical model development
- Contribute to scalable architecture using cloud platforms, especially Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 10+ years in data engineering and application development
- Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS/SSAS/SSRS, Python, and Google Cloud Platform Data Services
- Strong SQL coding expertise and hands-on experience with data modeling
- Experience with OLTP/OLAP database design and performance tuning
- Skilled in Tableau reporting, data visualization, and dashboard development
- Strong communication skills - both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
- Passion for innovation, data strategy, and solving complex challenges
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
Relevant certifications:
- Microsoft/Oracle SQL Certification
- Google Cloud Platform Data Engineer Certification
- Tableau Data Analyst Certification
