Description
We are looking for a skilled Systems Administrator to join our non-profit organization in Denver, Colorado. This role is integral to maintaining and optimizing IT infrastructure, encompassing both on-premise and cloud-based systems. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise to ensure system performance, security, and scalability while collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and resolve technical challenges.
Responsibilities:
Administer and optimize Windows Server and Linux systems, ensuring reliability and performance.
Manage virtual environments, including VMware vSphere/ESXi, and oversee virtual machine provisioning.
Configure and maintain storage solutions and backup systems such as Veeam and Commvault.
Support and maintain network devices, firewalls, VPNs, and monitoring tools to ensure secure connectivity.
Oversee Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
Assist with cloud deployments and monitoring in platforms like Azure and AWS, ensuring compliance with security standards.
Automate workflows using scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, or Bash to enhance system efficiency.
Deploy and manage endpoint protection tools, ensuring robust cybersecurity measures.
Collaborate on IT projects such as system upgrades, migrations, and disaster recovery planning.
Provide troubleshooting support for escalated technical issues and maintain detailed documentation.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
3-7 years of experience in systems administration, with a focus on Windows/Linux servers and virtualization.
Proficiency in managing cloud platforms, including Azure and AWS.
Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
Knowledge of backup tools, endpoint protection solutions, and cybersecurity compliance standards.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines is preferred.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Relevant certifications such as Microsoft, AWS, or Azure are highly desirable.
