Job Details

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Dallas, TX that is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior ML Engineer Data Scientist to join our analytics team. This role is responsible for developing and implementing advanced statistical, econometric, and machine learning models to generate predictive and prescriptive insights that drive strategic decision-making across the business.

Key Tasks:
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, curate, and construct data sets for analytical modeling
* Develop hypotheses and data-driven solutions to improve profitability and operational efficiency
* Lead analytics projects using statistical methods, machine learning, experimental design, and the scientific method
* Design and apply customer segmentation models to identify growth opportunities and assess customer health
* Build predictive models using internal and external data to forecast shipment costs and support financial optimization
* Partner with project teams to ensure alignment and collaboration across departments
* Create compelling data visualizations and dashboards to support fact-based decision-making
* Develop subject matter expertise on internal and external data sources
* Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and analytical techniques to ensure best-in-class practices
* Collaborate with Data Engineers to build machine learning applications and establish feedback loops for model refinement

REQUIREMENTS:
* Proficiency in statistical programming languages such as R and/or Python
* Deep understanding of statistical and probabilistic concepts including: Distributions, experimental design, variance analysis, A/B testing, probability theory, stochastic systems, and Bayesian inference
* Expertise in statistical modeling techniques such as: Regression, clustering, ARIMA, decision trees, time series analysis, and simulation
* Strong business acumen with the ability to navigate and understand multiple functional areas
* Exceptional communication skills with executive presence and the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
* Excellent problem-solving, logical reasoning, negotiation, and influencing capabilities

Technical Proficiencies:
* Experience with Databricks, Spark, and PySpark
* Advanced SQL skills for data extraction and transformation
* Proficiency in Tableau and/or Power BI for data visualization
* Strong Python programming skills, including use of XGBoost, NumPy, and Keras
* Familiarity with accessing and integrating data via APIs

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
