Job Details

Seeking a Functional SAP Production SME consultant specializing in the Plan-to-Produce workstream a Digital Transformation project. This role will be instrumental in designing, mapping, and transitioning business processes from legacy systems to SAP (Fiori).

The first year will focus heavily on data cleansing, business process design, and defining future-state roles and responsibilities with a longer-term roadmap leading to full SAP deployment by 2029.

This role requires strong knowledge of production planning and manufacturing engineering processes, and the ability to align current-state operations with SAP best practices.

Responsibilities:

Plan-to-Produce Expertise:

  • Provide SME guidance on SAP P2P processes, including best practices for production planning and scheduling.

  • Leverage SAP Fiori tools (e.g., Scheduling Board) to support constrained/unconstrained scheduling and capacity management.

Master Data Management & Data Governance:

  • Lead master data cleanup efforts and develop governance processes to ensure production data accuracy.

  • Support creation of data governance policies and procedures in alignment with SAP.

Business Process Design:

  • Define and document future-state roles and responsibilities for Production Planners, Material Planners, Supervisors, and Manufacturing Engineers.

  • Support business process architecture and functional data mapping for SAP migration.

  • Bridge the gap between legacy processes and SAP s target operating model.

Collaboration & Strategy:

  • Collaborate with internal business users, cross-functional teams, and IT stakeholders across multiple U.S. manufacturing sites.

  • Provide clear functional input to IT and challenge system constraints when necessary.

  • Act as a hands-on functional lead, capable of working independently while aligning business needs with SAP solutions.

Travel:

  • ~25% travel required, primarily to key East Coast manufacturing sites (approx. 1 week/month).
