Job Details

In today's digital age, the ability to effectively engage audiences through short form content and social platforms is crucial. Short Form Skilling is about leveraging these platforms to maximize reach, engagement, and impact. By focusing on short form content and social platform expertise, we aim to drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and ultimately, business growth by expanding Microsoft's presence across workforce audiences.

In this role, you will focus on building a center of excellence for delivering engaging and inspirational short-form skilling content (15 minutes or less) to drive net new learner adoption of cloud, security, and a deep focus on AI for IT Professionals within the Worldwide Learning organization. As the Senior Learning Manager for the IT Pro audience, you will be responsible for leading and driving the direction of short-form skilling for deeply technical audiences through a new operational model and cultivating new partnerships, deepening our connection to Microsoft and our partner demand generation engines, and building a steady stream of entertaining and effective skill building for learners around the world. You will also focus on audience insights and how they learn, partnering with the social skilling, marketing, and technical teams building short-form content, and help define our IT professional experiences across our latest learning modalities to drive AI skilling at scale.

  2. Generate energy across IT professional audiences and partner to deliver compelling content across multiple technical channels and communities.
  3. Deliver success by dramatically increasing our reach and engagement to new learners on new modern social platforms.
  4. Drive technical intensity and depth across all our short-form skilling assets.

Qualifications:

Required/minimum qualifications
  • Master's Degree or equivalent AND/OR 1+ year(s) experience in Learning and Development, relevant technical roles, business development, customer success, industry, or program/project management
    • OR Vocational qualification or higher education degree (e.g., Bachelor's Degree) AND/OR 2+ years experience in Learning and Development, relevant technical roles, business development, customer success, industry, or program/project management
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years in the technology industry or social media.
  • 3+ years domain level experience working with IT professionals or audience marketing.
Additional or preferred qualifications
  • Operates with a sense of urgency and tenacity.
  • Demonstrates a growth mindset.
  • Experience using artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to improve business outcomes and impact, preferably in the learning space.
  • Passion for learning and continuous improvement.
  • Proven experience in leading large-scale initiatives within an organization.
  • Master's degree in business administration.
  • Deep understanding of the relevant industry and best practices.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to generate energy for key initiatives among co-workers and communities.
  • Experience in marketing and communications within in a cloud-first organization.
Integrated Learning IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.
