Job Details

We are seeking an experienced AI Data Specialist/Analyst to join a leading global insurance company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both artificial intelligence and insurance underwriting, with the ability to bridge technical innovation and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • AI-Powered Underwriting Automation:
  • Develop and implement AI-driven automation solutions to streamline manual underwriting processes, including data collection, compliance checks, and preliminary risk assessments.
  • Vendor Data Analysis & Integration:
  • Analyze and integrate external vendor data to enhance underwriting models and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Data Science & Advanced Analytics:
  • Leverage AI and machine learning to uncover insights, predict market trends, and optimize product offerings.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Partner with underwriting, technical, and business teams to identify needs, define AI solutions, and support deployment of enterprise AI tools.
  • Model Performance & Optimization:
  • Monitor and refine AI models and workflows to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • AI Governance & Ethics:
  • Contribute to the development and enforcement of ethical and regulatory standards for AI in underwriting, ensuring transparency and fairness.
  • Business Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization through AI-driven automation and operational enhancements.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Industry Knowledge:
  • 5 7 years of experience in the insurance industry
  • Deep understanding of underwriting, claims, and risk assessment workflows
  • Familiarity with insurance regulations and legal compliance for AI implementation
  • AI & Technical Expertise:
  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience working with AI technologies
  • Experience with large language models (LLMs) and generative AI tools
  • Exposure to Natural Language Processing (NLP) for analyzing unstructured insurance data
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL (preferred)
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform (preferred)
  • Analytical & Business Skills:
  • Strong analytical, statistical, and data management capabilities
  • Ability to design and deploy predictive models
  • Skill in translating business needs into technical solutions
  • Experience working in agile environments to develop AI-enhanced workflows

Nice to Have

  • Experience with customer-facing AI solutions or enterprise AI tools
  • Background in business process re-engineering or digital transformation
  • Familiarity with data privacy and model interpretability frameworks in insurance
