We are seeking an experienced AS400 IBMi Developer to support and enhance a core legacy application. This long-term contract role involves working closely with an established technical team to maintain current system functionality while contributing to a multi-year modernization effort transitioning to InforM3.
Project Details:
- The team supports a central AS400-based application used for day-to-day operations and extensive reporting.
- You'll be responsible for creating new inputs and managing system changes to ensure performance and stability.
- Although the organization has begun migrating to InforM3, the AS400 system will remain in use for at least 3 more years, requiring ongoing support and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on AS/400 IBMi development and support
- Collaborate within a ticketing system to manage and resolve requests
- Work closely with a small, focused team to develop enhancements and maintain system integrity
- Support documentation and transition planning related to the system migration
Requirements
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Strong experience with AS/400 IBMi Development
- Experience working in a ticketing system and collaborating within a team environment
Nice to Have (Not Required):
- Exposure to ERP systems, especially InforM3
- Experience supporting long-term system migration or modernization projects
