Job Details

Quality Assurance Manager (Big Construction/Infrastructure Management) / 100% Remote / (12 Month Contract)
Travel Required:
  • This role is 100% remote except for site visits to suppliers and Data Centers, which the candidate themself will plan in accordance with the quality assurance program they create.
  • Travel is required. Candidates who cannot travel domestically or internationally (likely Mexico) should not be submitted. Those profiles will not be a fit for this role.
  • With travel, expect 2 weeks per month once the program is up and running.

Top Required Skills
  • Big Construction/Infrastructure Management Experience
    • Data center, manufacturing, airport, power station, submarine, other critical environment experience
    • Candidate understands the nature of supplier relationships, big project timelines, stakeholder management, etc.
  • Quality Assurance Process Experience
    • Has worked on specific quality assurance programs or it was a large portion of responsibility on a former project
    • Understanding of quality standards and protocols (e.g. ASME, ISO)
  • Process Improvement Design/Architecture
    • This candidate will be end-to-end designing a quality assurance process so must understand how to gather requirements/data, establish processes, engage stakeholders in solution, and communicate results via data to stakeholders

Best vs Average
  • Candidates with a basic knowledge of welding QA is welcome but not required. The majority of the parts causing problems show welding defects - and understanding of welding processes or inspections is a nice to have. However, that is not the only problem facing this team, so a broader knowledge of general quality programs is more important.
  • Candidates who have experience standing up/creating/developing similar processes for other large clients with complex supplier environments
  • Candidates with experience both on-site and at the strategic program management level for similar construction or integration projects

Job Description
  • This resource will be an end-to-end Program Manager who designs and manages a quality improvement process for major suppliers.
  • The candidate will be dictating the design of the program with a target timeline of 1 year to stand up the program.
  • This role is 100% remote except for site visits to suppliers and Data Centers, which the candidate themself will plan in accordance with the quality assurance program they create.
  • Travel is required. Candidates who cannot travel domestically or internationally (likely Mexico) are not qualified for this role.

This team is responsible for preparing and integrating every DC across the Americas.
  • This team coordinates with suppliers and on-site teams to install technology into new data centers and retrofit existing data centers for AI readiness. However, this team is currently struggling to address the issue of supplier quality assurance due to a lack of capacity and established process and are seeking this resource to assist in creating and maintaining a program to do so.
  • This Program Manager will lead the development and execution of a scalable quality assurance program across the company's data center infrastructure.
  • The resource will have 1 year (flexible, but preferred timeline) to gather requirements and data about the problem, create a process and documentation to address the issues, communicate said solution with stakeholders, integrate the solution, and test the effectiveness.
  • This role is ideal for someone who excels and has proven experience building programs from the ground up, driving cross-functional alignment, and improving operational processes across a variety of hardware and supplier-related issues.

Qualifications:
