Description
-Currently seeking talented UX Designers to join our team on a 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension.
-These roles will support an exciting initiative within the Laundry division, focused on the launch of a cutting-edge washer/dryer combination unit. Designers will play a key role in shaping the user experience of the LED HMI (Human-Machine Interface) console, with a particular emphasis on how washing and drying cycles are displayed and communicated to users.
-This is a unique opportunity to influence the design of a next-generation appliance and help Whirlpool deliver intuitive, user-friendly solutions to customers.

-Discovery & Competitor Analysis: Conduct a comprehensive evaluation of usability and HMI (Human-Machine Interface) solutions across competitor products at various price points.
-UX HMI Wireframes: Develop detailed wireframes mapping the placement of all features and cycles on the A46 LED (7-segment) HMI across the full model lineup.
-UX HMI & Product Behavior Specifications:
-User Research: Conduct virtual and/or in-person user testing to validate design directions and address UX knowledge gaps.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.

- Organize Figma files and user flows to clearly document behavior specifications for the Eisenhower A46 platform.
- Define behavior specifications for all washer HMI functions, including shared features with dryers (e.g., power, start, control lock).
- Specify interactions related to physical components such as the door, and how these are communicated through the HMI.
- Collaborate with the ListCo Engineering team to support software implementation and ensure alignment with UX specifications.
-User Research: Conduct virtual and/or in-person user testing to validate design directions and address UX knowledge gaps.
