Job Details

Candidate will assist with the development of the Sensor Open System Architecture (SOSA) standard that will provide the warfighter and Intelligence Community with an effective means of developing and applying a common set of Modular Open Architecture Standards for ISR/SOF systems. Specifically, the candidate will apply knowledge and experience with hardware development, systems engineering, requirements, and national, theater, tactical SIGINT/GEOINT, and intelligence systems, methods, and practices.

The position will support reviews of existing electrical/mechanical/system standards for Open Architecture systems such as SAE SPIES (i.e.: AS6129/AS6169) turret/POD mounted physical mounting, connectors, and wiring solutions to develop a common physical/mechanical/electrical pinout/cabling interface standardization proposal to the Electrical/Mechanical working group with a focus on developing open architecture systems using existing hardware while working with industry and standards developers to ensure compatibility and harmonization of existing standards and regulations/policy.

Requirements:
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline from an accredited university
  • Candidate should have at least 5 years of experience working hardware related engineering tasks for DoD customers
  • Preferred candidate will have experience in SIGINT/GEOINT
  • Position requires experience using OpenVPX standards
  • Candidate should have knowledge or experience in Modular Open System Architecture design

Location: This role is based in the Dayton, OH area, and is 100% onsite.
