Job Description:

Our client needs an IAM Architect with a strong focus on Okta to lead and advance our client's identity and access management initiatives. As they continue to grow, they need an experienced architect to drive strategic solutions for user provisioning, automated workflows, and more. This role is pivotal in shaping their IAM infrastructure and designing a scalable, automated future state.

The IAM Architect will act as the quarterback for their IAM team, which consists of three talented members who currently handle more tactical operations. This individual will take on a leadership role, working across cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize IAM solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Okta Expertise: Lead comprehensive initiatives with Okta as the source of truth for our IAM processes. Manage and optimize the automated provisioning and de-provisioning of 200+ apps through workflows.

Workflow Automation: Design, implement, and maintain advanced workflows in Okta. Develop functional designs and roadmap automation initiatives to streamline onboarding, offboarding, and other lifecycle events.

Solution Architecture: Translate business needs into detailed architectural plans, designing future-state solutions for IAM systems. Use tools like Visio to create technical diagrams and execute end-to-end implementations.

Integration & Administration: Ensure seamless integration of Okta with Workday, Salesforce, Azure, and other SaaS applications. Utilize standards like SCIM, OpenID, and SAML for consistent and secure access.

Scaling & Standardization: Standardize and optimize IAM processes across the organization, implementing scalable solutions for multiple locations (Lafayette, Atlanta, Dallas).

Leadership: Provide mentorship and guidance to IAM engineers and administrators, ensuring alignment with overall IAM strategy and best practices.

Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including HR, TA, system/network/security architects, and leadership, to develop and align IAM strategies with organizational goals.

Future State Innovation: Assess current-state infrastructure and drive initiatives to achieve a future-ready IAM environment.

Required Qualifications

• Must have Okta Certifications (e.g., Workflow Specialty, Developer Cert preferred). Proven ability to design and implement advanced solutions using Okta s tools and services.
• Strong background in Identity and Access Management, with experience in user provisioning, lifecycle workflows, and access architecture.
• Extensive experience integrating Okta with Workday.
• Deep knowledge of integrating SaaS applications (e.g., Salesforce) and familiarity with Azure-related IAM.
• Hands-on experience with SCIM, OpenID, SAML, and workflow automation in Okta. Strong ability to translate high-level ideas into technical solutions.
• Expertise in creating technical diagrams using tools like Visio and executing solutions end-to-end.
• Experience managing or mentoring IAM engineers and administrators is a plus.
• Comfortable with a hybrid work environment and flexible with periodic onsite visits (<3 times onsite).

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to IAM processes in medium to large-scale environments (e.g., organizations of 300+ employees per site).
• Experience with Workday-related workflows and automations in identity provisioning.
• Previous engagement with consulting around IAM workflows is a plus.
