About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Specialist to join our Operations team in San Jose, California. Reporting directly to the Worldwide Purchasing Manager, this role plays a key part in driving cost efficiency, supplier performance, and operational excellence across our global supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Process purchase requisitions, change orders, and RFQs (requests for quotes) to suppliers.
- Collaborate with internal requestors to determine optimal procurement solutions based on functionality, cost, and delivery requirements.
- Work directly with suppliers to resolve cost and performance variances.
- Review and reconcile purchase orders, receipts, and invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Create and maintain recurring supply and service purchase orders, including invoice reconciliation and approval.
- Manage and update purchase order data, vendor profiles, and procurement systems.
- Analyze market trends and pricing data to inform strategic buying decisions.
- Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies and audit requirements.
- Effectively manage multiple projects both independently and collaboratively.
What You Bring
- Education: Bachelor s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Oracle, Excel, MS Office, MRP systems, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
