Job Description:

Overview: We are looking for a skilled Commercial Security Service Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will have significant experience in servicing commercial electronic security devices, with a focus on IP network systems and comprehensive security systems for both new construction projects and updates to existing systems.

Key Skills and Abilities:
  • At least 4 years of experience in servicing and programming commercial access control, IP-based video systems, and intrusion alarm systems.
  • At least 4 years of experience in troubleshooting and programming networked access control and IP video systems, including working on customer networks.
  • Relevant experience such as a multi-site Network Support Specialist or similar role.
  • Proficiency in supporting customer systems through remote diagnostics with a professional demeanor.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience with internet and networking.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively resolve customer issues.
  • Valid driving license and clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
  • Certifications or proficiency in any of the following is advantageous:
  • Access Control: Pro-Watch, Genetec, Software House, Lenel/S2, OpenPath.
  • Video: Axis, Exacq, Milestone, Genetec, Victor, Avigilon, Hanwha.
  • Intrusion: DMP, Honeywell, DSC.

    Responsibilities:
  • Service, troubleshoot, program, and test enterprise security systems with minimal supervision.
  • Preferred knowledge of access control, IP video surveillance, intrusion, and visitor management systems.
  • Troubleshoot and program networked IP video systems.
  • Troubleshoot and program networked access control systems.
  • Service commercial intrusion alarm systems and other IoT-connected systems.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service.
    Education:
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Preferred: Electronics training from a Technical School or Military training in electronics or communications.
