Title: Material Reconciliation Analyst

Job Summary
The Material Reconciliation Analyst plays a key role in ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and reconciliation of materials used in capital and operational projects. This position supports the asset close-out process by validating material usage, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and financial reporting standards.

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. Job Summary
The Material Reconciliation Analyst plays a key role in ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and reconciliation of materials used in capital and operational projects. This position supports the asset close-out process by validating material usage, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and financial reporting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed reconciliation of materials issued, used, and returned across multiple projects.
- Analyze material movement data from ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and compare it with project documentation.
- Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, finance, and project teams to resolve discrepancies.
- Support the asset close-out process by ensuring all materials are properly accounted for and capitalized or expensed appropriately.
- Maintain accurate records of material usage, transfers, and disposals.
- Generate reconciliation reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders.
- Assist in audits and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance material tracking and reconciliation efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in material reconciliation, inventory control, or project accounting.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in capital project environments (e.g., construction, energy, utilities).
- Familiarity with asset lifecycle management and project close-out procedures.
- Knowledge of inventory valuation and cost accounting principles.
