Job Title: Commercial Alarm Technician

Location: San Antonio, Texas (Worksite: 144 Landa St, New Braunfels, TX 78130)
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire (6 Months)
Pay Rate: $25-$29/HR (Depending on experience)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, normal business hours
Workplace: On-site

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Alarm Technician to join our team supporting projects across the San Antonio area. This role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining enterprise-level security systems with minimal supervision. You'll work on cutting-edge hardware from leading manufacturers such as Von Duprin, Assa Abloy, HID, Honeywell, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, terminate, configure, and test Access Control, CCTV, and Intrusion Detection systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints for accurate installations.
  • Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on:

    • Mag Locks
    • Electronic Door Strikes
    • Card Readers & Keypads
    • Electric Crash Bars
    • EREX & REX devices
    • Motion Sensors
    • IP Cameras, NVRs, and DVRs

  • Lead project installations and manage quality control.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure project timelines are met.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 6+ months installing Access Control systems.
  • 1+ year of commercial cabling experience.
  • Strong understanding of proper cable installation practices.
  • Ability to work independently and resolve technical issues.
  • Valid driver's license and clean MVR.
  • Reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with enterprise security platforms: Honeywell Pro-Watch, Genetec, Openpath, Exacq, 3xLogic, Brivo.
  • Knowledge of IP networking and video analytics.
  • Current certifications in any of the above systems are a plus.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00/hr.
