Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Product Manager for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in San Francisco, CA.

Responsibilities:
Work with business sponsors/stakeholders and IT staff to implement and manage the product life cycle. Specifically:
- Responsible for ownership and prioritization of the technology solution delivery teams' backlog(s).
- Ensures that business requirements and technical documentation are aligned with the business inputs by writing and/or approving business rules, user stories, integration dependencies, etc.
- Plays a significant role in quality control as the only team member empowered to accept stories as done.
- Advocates for business needs by applying a deep understanding of business processes, goals, and problems.
- Ensures product vision is communicated to the technology delivery teams.
- Accountable for attesting that the delivered outputs align with business requirements.
- Responsibilities involve implementation of product and service solutions through business engagement, knowledge of business needs and perspectives, active decision-making, and technology delivery knowledge
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, Information Technology or similar
- Typically has 5 - 8 years in developing innovative, technical products
- Possesses project management skillsets and experience, ability to gain consensus, make decisions and escalate in a timely and clear fashion
- Working knowledge of software development processes including the ability to evaluate and prioritize enhancement requests for software products, set software product release schedules and create software product forecasts
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of several software development life cycle methodologies; Agile SCRUM is desirable
- Certified Product Manager is desirable
