Google Cloud Platform Expert

As a Google Cloud Platform Cybersecurity Expert, you ll design, implement, and manage secure Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) environments. You ll ensure the protection of infrastructure, applications, and data through threat modeling, compliance, monitoring, and incident response leveraging your deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform security services.

Key Responsibilities

• Security Architecture & Design
  • Architect secure Google Cloud Platform environments with best practices and threat modeling
  • Define and implement security controls across IAM, VPCs, firewalls, and DLP systems
• Identity & Access Management (IAM)
  • Configure IAM roles, apply the principle of least privilege, manage service accounts and org policies
• Data Protection & Encryption
  • Enforce encryption at-rest and in-transit
  • Manage Cloud KMS and Sensitive Data Protection (formerly DLP) tools
• Network & Infrastructure Security
  • Secure VPCs, set up firewall rules, configure VPNs
  • Apply perimeter controls and network segmentation
• Security Monitoring & Incident Response
  • Monitor using Cloud Security Command Center, Security Health Analytics, and Cloud Logging
  • Build incident response protocols, threat hunting, and triage workflows
• Compliance & Auditing
  • Ensure compliance (SOC2, ISO27001, HIPAA, PCI DSS, GDPR)
  • Conduct security assessments and audits
• Automation & DevSecOps
  • Automate secure deployments with IaC tools (Terraform, Deployment Manager)
  • Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines
• Vulnerability & Threat Management
  • Implement vulnerability scanning and remediation programs
  • Monitor SIEM/CSPM tools and respond to anomalies
• Collaboration, Training & Mentorship
  • Work across engineering, SOC, compliance teams
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and security training sessions
