Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Software Development & Design: Participates in system and component design discussions, contributes to architectural decisions, and helps establish CI/CD pipelines and development practices.
Team Collaboration: Participates in daily standups, iteration planning meetings, and retrospectives while contributing to team knowledge sharing and providing feedback with empathy.
Development Practices: Practices paired programming and test-driven development, collaborates on code reviews, and contributes to performance improvement initiatives.
Product Partnership: Works with product managers during planning sessions to provide technical input and ensures common understanding of project requirements and deliverables.
Technical Contributions: Develops expertise in specific business domains and technology stacks, sharing knowledge with team members and contributing to technical discussions.
Quality Assurance: Participates in testing and debugging processes, helps maintain code quality standards, and provides support for software products in user environments.
Process Improvement: Contributes to retrospectives and team improvement initiatives, participates in tech review meetings, and helps identify areas for process enhancement.
Cross-team Communication: Collaborates effectively with other teams and stakeholders, participates in knowledge sharing sessions, and supports alignment on technical approaches.

Compensation offered for this role is $66,800.00 - 120,650.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.

TECHNICAL SKILLS
- API Development: Proficient in developing REST APIs using Java Spring Boot with experience in API documentation tools (Swagger, OpenAPI), versioning strategies, and testing frameworks. Familiarity with API gateways preferred.
- Security & Authentication: Knowledge of web and API security principles including OAuth, authentication/authorization protocols, OWASP guidelines, OpenID, and SAML implementations.
- Backend Technologies: Experience with backend development, database systems (MongoDB), caching solutions, and event-driven messaging using Kafka for reliable data processing.
- Development Tools & CI/CD: Proficient with Git version control, build tools (Maven, Gradle, NPM), artifact management (Artifactory), and continuous integration platforms (Jenkins or similar).
- Agile Development: Experience working in Agile environments with paired programming practices, collaborative development approaches, and iterative delivery methodologies.
- Quality Assurance: Strong advocate for test-driven development with experience writing unit tests for full-stack coverage and ensuring code quality standards.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and work effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Problem-Solving & Critical Thinking: Strong analytical mindset with ability to break down complex problems, evaluate multiple solutions, and make informed technical decisions under pressure.
- Adaptability & Learning: Quick to adapt to new technologies and changing requirements, with a commitment to continuous learning and staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Time Management & Organization: Skilled at prioritizing multiple tasks, managing project timelines, and delivering quality results within established deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
