Role: Oracle OPM Consultant

Location: Albany, New York (onsite)

Experience Level: 10+ years

Job Summary:

The Oracle OPM Consultant will be responsible for the managing the support project including but not limited to implementation, configuration, and ongoing support of Oracle Process Manufacturing (OPM) modules within the pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The role requires expertise in Oracle OPM and its integration with other Oracle modules (such as SCM, Manufacturing, and Finance) to optimize the entire manufacturing process, ensuring regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and data accuracy._

Key Responsibilities-

1. Oracle OPM Implementation & Configuration:

Lead or participate in the full lifecycle implementation of Oracle OPM in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

Configure and customize Oracle OPM to align with business requirements related to batch manufacturing, production planning, and inventory management.

Collaborate with functional teams to define business requirements and translate them into Oracle OPM configurations.

Set up and maintain Oracle OPM modules including Recipe Management, Batch Management, Process Execution, and Quality Management.

2. Process Optimization and Automation:

Analyze existing manufacturing processes and suggest improvements using Oracle OPM to automate and streamline operations.

Configure and optimize the integration between Oracle OPM and other modules (such as Oracle Inventory, Oracle Procurement, Oracle Quality, and Oracle Finance).

Support process improvements aimed at reducing costs, improving production yields, and ensuring quality control compliance.

3. Regulatory Compliance & Documentation:

Ensure Oracle OPM solutions comply with pharmaceutical industry standards, including GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), FDA regulations, 21 CFR Part 11, and other global regulatory requirements.

Provide documentation and traceability for batch production records, material tracking, and quality testing to ensure audit readiness.

4. Troubleshooting & Support:

Provide ongoing support to end-users of Oracle OPM, assisting with technical issues, process challenges, and system performance issues.

Conduct root cause analysis of system issues, and implement corrective actions.

Perform system upgrades, patches, and testing to ensure optimal performance.

5. Reporting & Analytics:

Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data analytics to support key performance indicators (KPIs) for manufacturing operations.

Work with business teams to understand reporting needs and deliver tailored solutions using Oracle OPM.

6. Training & Knowledge Transfer:

Provide training and mentorship to end-users on Oracle OPM functionalities and best practices.

Develop user manuals and documentation for ongoing system use.

7. Project Management:

Coordinate project tasks and timelines, ensuring that Oracle OPM solutions are delivered on time and within scope.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, and Business stakeholders) to ensure smooth project execution._

Experience:

Minimum of 8-10 years of experience with Oracle OPM in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

Hands-on experience with Oracle E-Business Suite, specifically Oracle Process Manufacturing (OPM).

Experience with other Oracle modules (e.g., Oracle SCM, Oracle Inventory, Oracle Quality) is a plus.

Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, regulations, and quality standards is essential.

Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of Oracle OPM modules, including Recipe Management, Batch Management, and Process Execution.

Experience with Oracle Manufacturing, Inventory, and Supply Chain modules.

Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle Reports.

Experience with Oracle Workflow, Oracle Forms, and other Oracle EBS tools.

Familiarity with Pharmaceutical industry regulatory requirements (FDA 21 CFR Part 11, GMP, etc.).
