World Wide Technology Holding Co, LLC (WWT) has an exciting opportunity for an Operational Technology (OT) Network Engineer to support our client s enterprise network infrastructure with a strong focus on routing and switching.
This is an onsite role based in Louisville, KY (40202) as part of WWT s Strategic Resourcing services. It is a 6 12 month contract position in which the candidate will be employed by one of WWT s preferred partners. The partner will provide complete compensation and benefits information prior to employment.

Role Overview
We are seeking a Level 2 Route Switch Network Engineer with OT (Operational Technology) experience to design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise with Cisco (or equivalent) routing and switching platforms, strong troubleshooting skills, and a proactive approach to network performance and security.
OT network experience is a must for this role.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Implementation
Design and deploy Layer 2/Layer 3 network solutions, including routers, switches, and related hardware.
Configure and manage routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP in enterprise and data center environments.
Switching Technologies
Configure and troubleshoot VLANs, trunking, STP, EtherChannel, and spanning tree technologies.
Network Operations & Troubleshooting
Monitor and analyze network performance, proactively resolving issues related to latency, routing loops, and connectivity.
Provide Level 3 escalation support and participate in on-call rotations for critical network incidents.
Security & Compliance
Collaborate with security teams to enforce policies using firewalls, ACLs, and other security controls.
Ensure secure OT networking practices are implemented across substations and remote sites.
Documentation & Collaboration
Maintain accurate network diagrams, configurations, and documentation.
Work closely with project managers, vendors, and engineering teams to support seamless operations.
Upgrades & Maintenance
Perform network upgrades, patching, and maintenance in a controlled, documented manner.
Ensure high availability, redundancy, and disaster recovery capabilities within the network.
Compensation
A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this role is $60.00 $70.00 per hour. Actual pay may vary based on factors such as shift, location, experience, skill set, certifications, performance, and business needs. Compensation will be determined and provided by the employer prior to onboarding.
