RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Westlake, TX that is seeking a Lead Cloud Engineer.
Responsibilities:
* Lead Cloud Engineer will support development squads with DevOps delivery and best practices
* Deliver high-quality, maintainable solutions in an Agile environment
* Define and execute reliability and observability strategies to ensure system availability
* Reduce toil and improve efficiency through automation and process refinement
* As a Lead Cloud Engineer, you will troubleshoot complex issues across hardware, software, network, and cloud environments
* Mentor peers and guide teams in building highly available, observable systems
REQUIREMENTS:
* 8+ years in technology roles with a Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field
* 5+ years building advanced CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) and supporting distributed systems at scale
* 1-2 years in AWS cloud development and migration; experience with resilient cloud platforms
* 2-4 years in software development (Python, NodeJS, or Java) with emphasis on SDLC and automation
* Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration
* Strong Linux/Unix systems administration skills, including Bash scripting
* Familiarity with distributed, highly concurrent service-based architectures
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
