Job Title: ETL Developer
Location: Phoenix, AZ; Dallas, TX; Pittsburgh, PA
Employment Type: contract until 03/31/26 w/ likely extension
About the Role:
Join our banking client's Business Technology and Innovation Group as an ETL Developer supporting the Regulatory Risk and Compliance Reporting team. This team is focused on building innovative, data-intensive technology solutions that enable accurate and timely regulatory submissions for the bank. You’ll play a key role in designing, developing, and leading ETL processes from data ingestion to reporting, ensuring compliance and business alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of ETL solutions using Informatica PowerCenter and Oracle SQL/PLSQL.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data-related changes and enhancements.
- Develop Slowly Changing Dimension (SCD) mappings using various source formats and transformations.
- Optimize performance across targets, sources, mappings, sessions, and workflows.
- Design and implement HTTP transformations.
- Manage ETL code deployments using DevOps tools.
- Write and maintain UNIX shell scripts and manage job scheduling via CA7.
- Conduct intermediate-level data analysis and data modeling.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5–7 years of experience in ETL development and data engineering.
- Advanced proficiency in Informatica PowerCenter 9.6+ and Oracle SQL/PLSQL.
- Strong debugging and performance tuning skills.
- Experience with DevOps tools for deployment and version control.
- Hands-on experience with UNIX shell scripting and CA7 job scheduler.
- Solid understanding of data modeling and analysis.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Alteryx for data preparation and blending.
- Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Oracle BI.
- Working knowledge of Teradata.
- Understanding of software design patterns and architecture principles.
- Ability to lead complex problem-solving efforts and mentor team members.
- Strong documentation skills for technical and procedural materials.
