Job Title: Solutions Architect
Duration: 6 Months (Tentative)
Location: Quincy, MA (Hybrid)
Summary:
An enterprise architecture team in the public sector is seeking a highly experienced, organized, and results-driven Solutions Architect with a strong background in Salesforce Solutions and System Architecture, as well as demonstrated leadership abilities. The ideal candidate will provide oversight and guidance for integration projects, including Eligibility and Enrollment (IEE) systems and Salesforce-based solutions.
This role involves aligning technology with business objectives, designing integrated solutions, and collaborating across multiple business units. Candidates must possess deep knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and Salesforce platforms.
Responsibilities, Knowledge, and Skills:
Design comprehensive Salesforce architecture solutions across business processes, platforms, and networking environments.
Develop reusable Salesforce technical frameworks and components with enterprise-wide application.
Collaborate with system integrators to design and implement solutions using Salesforce components like Public Sector Solutions, Experience Cloud, and Service Cloud.
Lead Salesforce technical architecture initiatives and collaborate with application support teams to optimize current and future-state solutions.
Identify and resolve gaps in current implementations including custom code and integrations.
Integrate Salesforce with external systems via APIs, middleware, and ETL tools.
Define scalable, cost-effective solutions aligned with enterprise standards and non-functional requirements.
Document functional, technical, and infrastructure architecture including performance, scalability, and security aspects.
Consult with stakeholders and infrastructure teams to maintain alignment with strategic goals.
Conduct vendor code reviews and mentor development teams.
Evaluate technical deliverables and ensure compliance with architecture standards and best practices.
Review platform health, performance, and governance metrics and provide regular reports.
Map business requirements to Salesforce features and provide onboarding guidance for new systems using a Common Noticing Solution (CNS).
Establish platform governance and lifecycle standards (design through support).
Engage in risk assessments, audits, and remediation planning.
Evaluate AppExchange products and make build vs. buy recommendations.
Report technical issues and improvement areas using defined change management processes.
Provide biweekly readouts on architectural assessments and recommendations.
Participate in design reviews, technical audits, and recommend enhancements.
Review and approve architectural documentation, security plans, and integration specifications.
Lead and mentor technical teams, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
Required Experience, Education, and Certifications:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Salesforce certifications required.
10+ years of Salesforce implementation experience.
Preferred experience with:
Enterprise Content Services Platforms (e.g., OpenText)
API Management Platforms (e.g., MuleSoft)
Cloud-native tools and frameworks (e.g., Kubernetes, Cloudflare)
IAM and Privileged Access Management solutions
Modern web/mobile frameworks (e.g., ReactJS, NodeJS, MongoDB)
Document Management and AWS hosting
Agile methodologies, Git, CI/CD pipelines
Familiarity with Salesforce APIs: SOAP, REST, BULK
Experience working with PHI, PII, SSA data
Knowledge of state government eligibility and enrollment systems strongly preferred
Excellent communication skills for engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders
