Job Title: Sr. Interface Analyst
Location: Quincy, MA (Hybrid)
Duration: 6 Months


Position Overview

A public sector technology organization is seeking an experienced Senior Interface Analyst to join its Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in large-scale integration projects, data interface management, and a solid understanding of Medicaid and/or health insurance business processes.

This role involves managing daily interface operations, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of data exchange processes, and supporting ongoing data research and analysis efforts. The Senior Interface Analyst will actively contribute to system implementation, integration, testing, and data migration initiatives while adhering to organizational standards for security, privacy, and SDLC best practices.

This position follows a hybrid work model, with the primary office located in Quincy, MA.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business teams, partners, and vendors to gather and validate interface requirements.

  • Design and document interface solutions in coordination with technical and functional stakeholders.

  • Define interface specifications, record layouts, and detailed web service requirements.

  • Modify existing layouts in partnership with business users and integration partners.

  • Work closely with external partners to perform integration testing and validate new or existing interfaces.

  • Coordinate interface deployments with vendors, ensuring quality and accuracy.

  • Conduct data analysis on inbound and outbound file transfers.

  • Support data extraction, exchange, and validation activities across external source systems.

  • Test and approve data conversions for new projects.

  • Maintain and enhance existing interfaces as part of ongoing system improvement efforts.

  • Serve as a liaison between business users, interface partners, and technical teams to resolve issues.

  • Collaborate with production support and infrastructure teams on network, security, and gateway changes related to interfaces.

  • Support technical requirements for system hosting and software environments associated with MMIS.


Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years of IT experience with strong interface and data analysis expertise.

  • In-depth understanding of interface design, data structures, and integration methodologies.

  • Hands-on experience with SOAP Web Services, XML, and data exchange protocols.

  • Proficiency with file transfer mechanisms such as SFTP.

  • Experience developing requirements documentation and technical specifications.

  • Strong SQL skills for data analysis and troubleshooting.

  • Experience with web service validation/testing tools (e.g., SoapUI or equivalent).

  • Familiarity with encryption techniques and Unix/Linux environments.

  • Solid understanding of health insurance or Medicaid business processes.

  • Excellent business analysis, communication, and documentation skills.


Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor s degree or higher in Business, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or equivalent professional experience.
