IT Concepts Inc. (ITC) is seeking a well-qualified experienced Business Analyst to join our team in support of our Social Security Administration client in Woodlawn, Maryland. Be a part of our team in support of cutting-edge enterprise applications, portal and dashboard initiatives across various government agencies that improve service delivery. Duties include providing support the customer by creating business process documents, flow diagrams, management reports, briefings, and organizing and optimizing repositories. Experience with Management Information (MI) and strategic planning data is a plus!

Location: This position will be performed in a hybrid working environment to include 3 days onsite in Woodlawn, MD.

Responsibilities:

Meetings:
  • Schedule, plan, coordinate, and attend project and staff meetings to include inviting necessary participants, reservation of conference meeting areas, and set up for conference calls with multiple participants.
  • Develop charts and presentations using MS Visio and PowerPoint.
  • Summarize each meeting in accordance with the monthly status report requirement, to include key decisions, timelines, and any necessary action items.

Business Processes:
  • Communicate with internal and external workgroups related to project activities.
  • Assist in developing business process documents and other Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) artifacts. Familiarity with AGILE methodology and Waterfall methodology highly preferred.
  • Maintain project, problem reporting, workgroup, or other group mailboxes.
  • Perform research to include gathering and analyzing data and information necessary to understand and describe various business processes; identify issues or problems; and assist with solutions and recommendations.
  • Review technical and business process documents and provide substantive comments.
  • Develop, compile, and analyze strategic planning data from multiple sources to support decision-making.
  • Perform data analysis, measurement reporting, and statistical analysis.

Requirements
  • 8 years of experience performing analysis for systems that cross multiple components and impact multiple systems
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 8 years of relevant work experience as a Business /Requirements Analyst in requirements gathering documentation, process flow and process modeling
  • Working knowledge of SDLC methodologies (such as Agile and Waterfall models)
  • 3 years of experience in developing use cases, functional specifications, and detailed design documents
  • 3 years of experience in documenting meeting minutes and conducting presentations/training sessions
  • Proficient in MS Office, MS Visio, and SharePoint
  • Experience leading projects or Project Management


Preferred Skills:
  • Experience performing user analysis for systems that impact a large number of users that includes the following skills;
    • Experience providing business process guidance
    • Experience participating in project meetings, conference calls, or workgroup discussions, and summarizing notes and action items
    • Experience analyzing and responding to inquiries
    • Strong communication (written and oral) skills, interpersonal skills, and organization skills
    • Ability to learn new tasks and subject matter
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and assure deadlines are met
    • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to analyze and assimilate information
