Position: Solution Architect
Location: Montvalle, NJ/Short hills, NJ (Hybrid 3 days/week)
Hire type: Contract
Solution Architecture & Design:
- Design a modular, scalable, and cloud-native architecture using Azure services
- Replace legacy SharePoint functionality with custom-built, role-based web app features
- Ensure a unified experience for audit teams, clients, and knowledge users
- Azure Platform Expertise:
- Deep knowledge of Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure AD (for SSO), Azure Front Door, and Azure API Management
- Use of Azure Cognitive Services and OpenAI (or Hugging Face) for AI notifications and intelligent content summarization
- Integration with Azure Event Grid or Service Bus for real-time event handling
- Data & Content Management:
- Architect solutions for structured (PostgreSQL/Cosmos DB) and unstructured content (e.g., file storage in Azure Blob, metadata search via Azure Cognitive Search)
- Design strategy to migrate content and metadata from legacy SharePoint to new formats
- Integration & Interoperability:
- Enable integration with internal systems (audit tools, client portals, knowledge bases) and external data feeds
- Define APIs and connectors to support secure data exchange
- Security & Governance:
- Implement enterprise-grade identity and access management (Azure AD, RBAC, conditional access)
- Ensure data protection, auditing, and compliance standards are met (especially for sensitive audit/client data)
- Scalability & Performance:
- Design for high availability and elastic scaling
- Use CDN, caching, and event-driven architecture to support heavy concurrent usage
- User Experience & Collaboration:
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure a modern, intuitive interface
- Guide personalization, content targeting, and notification strategies based on user roles
- DevOps & Delivery:
- Define DevSecOps practices using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
- Lead CI/CD setup, IaC (Bicep/Terraform), environment management, and monitoring
- Legacy Modernization:
- Plan phased decommissioning of SharePoint features
- Define data migration, content reshaping, and user retraining strategies
