Job Details

SUMMARY:
As our manufacturing engineer, you will be driving process improvements, ensuring product quality, and enhancing production efficiency in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. Ideally, you will bring a strong background in Lean Manufacturing, Lean Sigma, Process Improvement Engineering, and experience in working with metals and composites.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Implementing Lean Manufacturing principles and Lean Sigma methodologies to streamline processes, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
• Working closely with the production team to develop, coordinate, and implement technical training for employees.
• Designing, developing, and enhancing manufacturing processes and systems for product flow and assembly.
• Identifying and driving process improvements to increase product quality and production efficiency.
• Analyzing manufacturing process flows continually for the enhancement of quality, cost reduction, and throughput.
• Collaborating with design engineering regarding product tooling and design to ensure effective production methods.
• Providing guidance and expertise in the fabrication of metals and composites.
• Using statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
• Participating in new product introduction processes to ensure the manufacturability of new designs.
• Assuring product and process quality by designing testing methods, testing finished product and process capabilities, and establishing standards to confirm and validate manufacturing process requirements.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
• Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing and Lean Sigma methodologies.
• Experience as a Process Improvement Engineer, with a track record of driving significant improvements in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with metals and composites.
• Proficient in using CAD and other engineering software.
• A strong understanding of manufacturing technologies, systems, and quality control.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
