Job Description:
Under limited supervision, this passionate Learning & Development professional leads the strategic design and architecture of comprehensive training programs, directing others in implementation. Leveraging instructional design expertise, they will create a technical role-based onboarding program that evolves from the most basic level to an all-encompassing program. This position creates, coaches, and supports the implementation of the technical developer onboarding and training program, as well as the creation of strategic guidelines for managers/leaders, curriculum, and learning deliverables that drive success. The role provides expertise in aligning pre-established technology standards with the training program's outcome needs. The ideal candidate will craft impactful learning solutions that accelerate developer performance, close critical skill gaps, and strategically align workforce capabilities with organizational objectives, which are presented as value to executives. This position directly contributes to measurable business outcomes including accelerated time-to-code, improved developer satisfaction, reduced support costs, and enhanced team productivity by transforming complex technical onboarding into engaging, effective learning experiences through proven L&D methodologies.
Primary Job Functions

  1. Lead strategic analysis of developer training needs, identifying performance gaps and business requirements
  2. Deliver a comprehensive onboarding architecture that accelerates time-to-productivity for both onshore and offshore developers
  3. Create standardized training frameworks, templates, and evaluations for consistent onboarding experiences
  4. Develop materials that scale training delivery across offshore and onshore development teams
  5. Create, present and maintain the ongoing implementation roadmap and progress through the project stages.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure research is in alignment with standards of the business processes

Required Minimum Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of progressive Learning & Development experience
  2. Proven track record in instructional design, curriculum development, and training program management, including full training development lifecycle (analysis through evaluation)
  3. A portfolio that demonstrates versatile skill set in training design, delivery, and evaluation across different learning challenges
  4. Strong foundation in instructional design principles, adult learning theory, and curriculum development, with the ability to identify appropriate interventions
  5. Demonstrated ability to design impactful learning solutions that support business goals and drive performance

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Master's degree in Instructional Design or related field with 9+ years of L&D leadership experience (prioritized)
  2. Expertise in creation of comprehensive programs with a technical scope
  3. Strong practical experience in executing learning principles to drive business performance

History of success in communicating and securing business investments from executive for training programs
