Job Description

We are looking for early-career experienced Software Engineer with a minimum of two years of experience and a range of skills, or a Master's in a related field. The Software Engineer will apply her/his skills to developing high-quality, real-time embedded software for cutting edge electronic platforms. BAE Systems in New Hampshire is currently undergoing an exciting period of growth. This opening is at our Hudson campus.
This position is primarily an in-office position located primarily in Hudson NH, with opportunities to work from home on occasion.

Job Responsibilities
  • Duties include integration of complex embedded software with target hardware. This includes working with the software team and hardware engineers to diagnose, debug, and test the systems under development.
  • Generating and performing automated tests of the integrated system, with focus on zero-defects.
  • You will be preparing test documentation, in accordance with established processes.
  • Duties include analyzing, designing, coding and code modification (typically in C++) of complex software designs for simple systems or subsystems or subsystems of larger systems.
  • You will be evaluating complex software designs to identify design flaws.
  • You will be preparing design documentation, in accordance with established processes.
  • You will utilize a Linux based software development environment. Embedded target is a high performance x86-64 CPUs and Graphics Processing Unit (GPUs). You will be integrating and testing in closed area hardware test environments.
  • You may participate in external project interactions with other companies.
Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires ship status.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field, and minimum of 2 years work experience or equivalent experience
  • Active or ability to obtain CompTIA Security+ Certification
  • Foundation in object-oriented design, development practices, and implementation in C++
  • Strong problem-solving and collaborative skills that translate to working software
  • Strong experience developing for and operating in the Linux Environment
  • Strong and current experience with some/all the following tools: Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket), Git
  • Experience with software automated test development and execution
  • Experience with Agile development
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to perform a wide variety of related tasks
  • Proven team player

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Active CompTIA Security+ Certification
  • Proficiency in Real-time Embedded Software Development
  • Experience with software and systems engineering processes, methodologies, and tools
  • Experience performing software testing, validation, and verification activities
  • Designing and/or implementing software algorithms
  • Scrum leadership
  • Real-time embedded development

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $75570 - $128480

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
