Senior Aerospace Engineer

Location: Englewood, CO

Duration: 1 Year+
About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Aerospace Engineer with a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related field. In this dynamic environment, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing cutting-edge aerospace and defense technologies that shape the future.
Key Responsibilities
  • Research, design, develop, test, certify, and improve aerospace products, including advanced mission payloads, electronic systems, and integrated aircraft.
  • Perform fluid dynamics analysis using handbook methods, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), flight test data, and wind tunnel testing.
  • Generate external loads, aircraft performance estimates, and stability/control assessments.
  • Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to enhance system capabilities and efficiency.
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and certifications to support engineering decisions.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in aerospace engineering.
  • Strong understanding of Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) tools and CFD.
  • Hands-on experience with 14 CFR Part 25 Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) or Type Certificate (TC) projects.
  • Knowledge of aerospace engineering principles and practices.


Preferred:
  • Exposure to Engineering Simulation CFD tools such as Star-CCM+ or LEWICE3D.
  • Familiarity with wind tunnel and aircraft flight tests.
  • Background in the aerospace and defense industry.
  • Experience with static and dynamic system modeling and simulation.
  • Understanding of aircraft control system design and analysis.
