Data Architect

Seeking a Data Architect/Leader ideally with a consulting background, offering a Contract-to-Hire option for long-term employment.

Location: NYC - Hybrid role requiring onsite presence at the client location.

This opportunity is with a boutique consulting company.

Role:

• Proficient in defining Enterprise Data Technology/Architecture: Evaluate current state, provide architectural recommendations, select appropriate platforms, and develop Proof of Concepts (PoCs).
• Prioritize use cases: Map capabilities, define data ingestion and consumption patterns, and recommend technology investments.
• Define data management and governance frameworks and processes.
• Develop conceptual and detailed architectures, validate with Proof of Technology, and assist in business case development.
• Implementation: Set up infrastructure, configure cloud platforms, and develop data pipelines.
• Implement data quality and audit processes, define data consumption models, and define BI reports.
• Collaborate with extended teams to implement data programs.
• Experience in platform modernization, data engineering, and data migration.

Skills:

• Expertise in implementing data architectures including Enterprise Data Lakes, Data Fabric, and Data Mesh.
• Experience with Cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure.
• Work effectively in a team with global delivery alongside extended teams of data engineers, BI developers, and business analysts.
• Strong coordination and communication among team members.
