As we expand our footprint across State and Federal programs, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Executive who brings a strong blend of business development and marketing strategy expertise to help us grow and execute in the government staffing space.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a seasoned Business Development Executive (BDE) with a proven track record in staff augmentation sales, especially within State and Federal government sectors. The ideal candidate will also have a strong background in marketing strategy and execution, enabling them to drive visibility, engagement, and lead generation while identifying and winning new government contracts.
This is a high-impact role focused on building long-term relationships, identifying and capturing new opportunities, and ensuring seamless execution of government staffing contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Sales:
Identify, pursue, and win State and Federal staff augmentation contracts.
Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, procurement officers, and prime contractors.
Respond to RFPs/RFIs/RFQs and lead proposal development with internal support teams.
Collaborate with proposal writers, pricing analysts, and recruiters to develop winning solutions.
Negotiate terms, pricing, and contract specifics in compliance with government regulations.
Track and manage sales pipeline using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
🎯 Strategic Marketing
Develop and execute targeted marketing campaigns aimed at government decision-makers and contracting officers.
Collaborate with marketing teams to produce relevant collateral, capability statements, and case studies.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and government procurement fairs.
Maintain an up-to-date understanding of market trends, government spending forecasts, and competitor activity.
🤝 Partnerships & Networking
Establish teaming arrangements and strategic partnerships with other vendors, especially for large Federal bids.
Build relationships with key MSPs, GSA Schedule holders, and state-level contract administrators.
Requirements:
🎓 Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
5–8 years of experience in business development within staff augmentation and workforce solutions.
3+ years focused on State/Federal government contracting.
Proven experience working with platforms like SAM.gov, eMaryland Marketplace, BidNet, or similar.
Experience with government contracting vehicles such as GSA Schedules, BPAs, IDIQs, and state-specific contracts.

Strong network within government contracting and staffing circles.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in CRM systems, MS Office Suite, and basic project management tools.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Existing relationships with State & Federal procurement officers or MSP contacts.
Prior experience in a staffing agency or government-focused consulting firm.
Familiarity with minority-owned, woman-owned, or disadvantaged business certifications (e.g., 8(a), WOSB, MBE).
