3Core Systems is looking for a SAP FICO Functional Consultant for one of our clients.

Role: SAP Solution Software Engineer / SAP FICO Functional Consultant Location: Miramar or Dallas OR Minneapolis or Seattle, HYBRID 3 DAYS FOR ANY LOCATION.

THIS IS A BACKFILL!

Role Overview & Requirements:

This is a backfill for a senior-level SAP FICO Functional Consultant. While the title may suggest Engineer, the role is not development-based. The position requires someone with strong functional knowledge of SAP FICO and experience with other financial systems, not just SAP. The person should be comfortable supporting, enhancing, and configuring systems to meet business needs.

Core Systems Experience Required:

  • SAP FICO (must have deep expertise in at least 1-2 modules)
  • Additional SAP-related applications (a plus):
    • Ariba
    • Concur
    • Fieldglass
    • POl
  • Non-SAP financial tools (a plus):
    • BlackLine
    • Vertex

Preferred Niche Experience:

  • CLM (Contract Lease Management), also known as REFX highly preferred
  • BlackLine strongly preferred
  • SAP Fixed Assets (FA) ideal foundation for learning CLM
  • S/4HANA experience preferred over ECC due to upcoming system transition
  • Debugging skills nice to have (non-developer level)
  • Workflow and IO experience nice to have

Key Responsibilities:

Candidates will support three core workstreams:

  1. Support/Ticket Resolution: Rotational support for finance users (~monthly)
  2. Small Enhancements: Minor config changes, report modifications, etc.
  3. Projects: Implementation of new modules, upgrades, transformations

Implementation Experience:

  • Ideally, 5+ years of experience
  • Minimum of 2 full lifecycle implementations (end-to-end involvement)

Business Process Knowledge:

Candidates must understand core finance business processes, including:

  • Month-end close
  • Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Credit & Collections
  • Fixed Assets (e.g., registering assets like laptops)

They must be able to translate business requirements into SAP configurations (via IMG), without coding. This is a functional configurator role, not a development role.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to translate technical/functional concepts to business users
  • Patience and empathy for non-technical end users
  • Self-starter mindset proactive, efficient, productive
  • Ability to make recommendations and take initiative

Flexibility:

  • The manager is open to candidates who do not yet have CLM experience if they are strong in fixed assets and other key areas.
  • Candidates with 10+ years of experience are welcome not considered overqualified.
