Location: Chicago, IL (ONSITE)
Duration: 12 Months Contract
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Installation, configuration, and ongoing support/management of digital dentistry technologies and related systems in the college, including but not limited to CAD/CAM systems, digital imaging devices, intraoral scanners, 3D printers, and associated software applications.
- Collaborate with dental practitioners, clinical staff, and IT staff to implement and optimize digital processes and workflows.
- Liaise with vendors and service providers to procure necessary equipment, upgrades, and support services for digital dentistry systems.
- Ensure the integrity, security, and confidentiality of patient data stored in digital systems, adhering to HIPAA and other relevant regulations.
- Provide documentation, training, and technical support to dental staff on the proper use of digital dentistry systems and software applications to ensure proficiency and compliance with best practices.
- Develop and implement protocols for data backup, disaster recovery, and system maintenance to minimize downtime and data loss.
- Utilize helpdesk service request processes to evaluate, monitor, and manage ongoing issues and follow through until a satisfactory resolution has been implemented.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends in digital dentistry, recommending advancements that align with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess the effectiveness of digital dentistry solutions and identify areas for improvement.
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives to ensure compliance with established standards the best practices.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
JOB KNOWLEDGE / QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, healthcare administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Proven experience in administering digital systems within the healthcare or dental industry, with a focus on digital dentistry preferred.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software, DICOM/PACS systems, intraoral scanners, 3D printers, and other digital dentistry technologies.
- Strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
