Job Details
IDR is partnering with a leading organization in the K-12 education sector to hire a Technical Writer with a strong background in process documentation, policy development, and compliance. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on transforming complex information into clear, structured content that drives operational efficiency and meets audit standards.
What You ll Do:
- Collaborate with finance and compliance teams to revise and update the Financial Services Manual based on internal audit findings.
- Create, edit, and maintain departmental policies, procedures, and training documents aligned with regulatory and audit requirements.
- Redesign legacy forms into digital, fillable, and user-friendly formats to improve efficiency and usability.
- Refine PowerPoint decks for executive presentations, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with strategic messaging.
- Overhaul intranet and public-facing content to enhance structure, navigation, and user experience.
- Document current workflows and develop optimized future-state process maps with input from department stakeholders.
- Provide guidance on policy language to ensure legal and compliance accuracy.
What You Bring:
- 3+ years of experience as a Technical Writer, Policy Writer, or Documentation Specialist.
- Strong background in creating documentation aligned with audit and compliance standards.
- Experience updating policy manuals and developing new procedural content.
- Ability to translate complex processes into clear, user-friendly documentation.
- Familiarity with form design tools and digital content management systems.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
