Role Overview:

As a Google Cloud Platform Data Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing solutions essential for data center migrations to the cloud or other data centers. Your primary focus will be on crafting scalable solutions specifically on the Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform). This will entail designing and executing solutions that encompass a combination of Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and data center technologies, with a specialized emphasis on Google Cloud Platform-related solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement solutions for data center migrations, encompassing both applications and databases, to the cloud or alternative data centers.
  • Develop scalable solutions on the Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), leveraging its suite of services and tools.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and define architecture blueprints for data engineering projects on Google Cloud Platform.
  • Lead the implementation of data engineering projects on Google Cloud Platform, including building pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouses.
  • Execute migrations from on-premises environments to Google Cloud Platform, ensuring seamless transition and minimal disruption to operations.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and architectural standards.
  • Conduct performance optimization and tuning activities to enhance the efficiency and reliability of Google Cloud Platform-based solutions.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience with Google Cloud Platform data engineering, including the implementation of data engineering projects on Google Cloud Platform/BigQuery.
  • Proven ability to design and architect scalable solutions in Google Cloud Platform, leveraging its suite of services such as Compute Engine, Bigtable, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, and others.
  • Hands-on experience in building data pipelines and ETL processes on Google Cloud Platform, using tools like Apache Beam, Apache Spark, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with migration initiatives from on-premises environments to Google Cloud Platform, including data migration strategies and best practices.
  • 13+ years of total experience in the field of data engineering and architecture, with at least 3-4 years of experience in an architectural role.
  • Healthcare experience(Payer/Provider)

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Google Cloud Platform Data Engineer certification, demonstrating proficiency and expertise in Google Cloud Platform data technologies.
  • Familiarity with other cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS, as well as hybrid cloud environments.
  • Strong understanding of modern data architecture principles, including data governance, data modeling, and metadata management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Relevant certifications in Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) or related areas.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering innovative and effective solutions.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and industry trends, staying abreast of advancements in cloud computing and data engineering.
