Job Details

Java Backend Developer with strong experience in enterprise-level systems, preferably within the retail banking domain. The candidate will be embedded into an agile product team and is expected to contribute proactively and independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain scalable backend systems using Java, Spring, and RESTful APIs

  • Deploy and manage services on AWS and OpenShift (OCP on AWS)

  • Work with WebSphere in a production environment

  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team including developers, Product Owner, and QA

  • Provide technical leadership and hands-on support not just task execution

  • Quickly adapt to existing systems, architecture, and development tools

Required Skills:

  • 8+ years of backend development experience

  • Strong expertise in Java, Spring Framework, and REST API development

  • Experience with AWS and OpenShift (OCP)

  • Proficiency with WebSphere

  • Prior experience in the retail banking sector is strongly preferred

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and integrate quickly with an existing team
