We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-oriented Desktop Support Technician for an role in Waukegan. The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of Windows-based systems, advanced technical skills, and a strong commitment to customer service. This role involves resolving technical issues, managing service tickets, and ensuring compliance with corporate policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for Windows-based systems, including Active Directory, PowerShell, Microsoft Office 365, MS Teams, OneDrive, and security concepts.
- Utilize remote support tools such as Bomgar/RDP to assist users.
- Leverage advanced technical skills to support specific functional areas and related systems.
- Manage and resolve issues using the ServiceNow ticketing system.
- Maintain a strong customer service orientation, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Adapt and respond flexibly to changing priorities and problem-solving requirements.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with clients and team members.
- Monitor individual work queues to resolve routine and non-routine VDI issues and requests.
- Identify and recommend improvements for technical and process issues.
- Ensure compliance with applicable corporate and divisional policies and procedures.
- Complete tasks as assigned by dispatchers and management.
- Update service tickets promptly and accurately.
- Act as a technical contact for escalated issues.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in desktop support, including Windows 10 and VMware.
- Broad knowledge of Windows-based systems and related technologies.
- Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently.
