I'm currently recruiting for "Monitor Engineer" role for one of our direct client .

Additional Skills and Notes:
  • This position is different from the other manager's position (133602-1) in that it will not be focused on the visualization efforts but will focus on more the the Visibility and Monitoring efforts of the SRE including Orchestration and Automation .
  • Looking to convert to FTE after 4 months.

Position Location: Hybrid - 3 in office, 2 remote
Phoenix, AZ Only - 2850 E Camelback Road (Biltmore)

Target Start Date: ~May 6
Intended length of Assignment: 4 months then conversion

Contract to Hire
  • This position is contract with the right to hire if a need becomes available. Manager will only look at candidates that are open to converting to a full time Client's employee. Client will not sponsor work visas if the decision is made to hire the contingent worker.

Working Hours: M-F, 8-5 40hrs, occasional odd hours.

Describe the function your group supports from an LOB perspective:
  • Defining and building observability capabilities at Client that will be used by (SRE) site reliability engineering team.

Describe the dynamic of your team and where this candidate will fit into the overall environment:
  • Will work with a team of 8 as a part of the Network Observability team. Will report to manager and interactions with various teams including the SRE.
  • Visibility and Monitoring efforts for the network application and server site reliability teams in conjunction with the SRE.

Candidate Technical and skills profile:
  • Describe the role and the key responsibilities in order of which they will be doing daily:
  • Convert business requirements into tech deliverables
  • Establishing proactive monitoring, leveraging telemetry data to detect anomalies
  • Develop products and views that enable Site Reliability Engineering
  • Develop event triggered Orchestration and Automation
  • Develop user documentation and release notes

Describe the required must have technical skills, tools, or experience:
  • + Extensive understanding of the complexities native to modern distributed systems, being well-versed in the challenges posed by microservices architectures, cloud-native environments, and hybrid infrastructure setups.
  • + Experience establishing proactive monitoring, leveraging telemetry data to detect anomalies, identify potential issues before they impact users, and enable faster incident response.
  • + 3-5 years Experience with most of the following or similar tools - Dynatrace, Data Dog, AppDynamics, Entuity, Thousand Eyes, Solar Winds, Splunk, LogScale, Grafana, Prometheus, Amazon CloudWatch MS Azure
  • + 3-5 years Understanding of programming languages (like Python, Java, Go) and cloud platforms (like AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure) proficient in Ansible or other automation / orchestration technologies.
